nanoblading by skins
SKINS was born out of a personal need for good brows. Being blonde and "eyebrow-less", SKINS' owner, Saskia, had been searching for a semi-permanent option that suited her “natural is best but can be enhanced” ethos.
Once trained, Saskia didn't look back, developing her own approach and having fantastic success in Brazil. After 10 years away from her homeland, Saskia is now in popular demand in London, and soon to be Kent.
SKINS' repertoire has quickly grown. As well as leading the market in Nanoblading, they perform beautifully natural Lip Blushing and Lip Neutralisation work, Areola Reconstruction and Correction, and Lash Enhancement Eyeliner.
The techniques used at SKINS are the most natural in the world. Excellent market leading materials, advanced knowledge about pigmentation depth and its long term results within the skin, plus a real understanding and respect for natural beauty and one's natural anatomy make SKINS confident in producing incredible results.

NANOBLADING
NanoBlading differs to the more traditional MicroBlading and here's why.
Using finer blades, and organic pigments, SKINS have developed a
completly natural and realistic looking approach to blading brows.

LIP BLUSHING
Lip Blushing by SKINS is a beautiful enhancement of your natural mouth by adding soft colour and subtle definition. No need for reapplying lip sticks and tints throughout the day.
We have developed an especially natural (of course!) approach to semi-permanent lip pigmentation by not over defining the borders and ensuring a super translucent finish. We like to stay true to your original tones, which we feel really secures that soft and natural touch. Having said that, all appointments include a lengthy consultation whereby all details will be discussed together to arrive at the best result for you.
Remember, everything at SKINS is individually tailored. One size does not fit all.
Heavy, and over saturated, semi-permanent make up techniques have given lip tattooing a bad name but SKINS are here to prove that with Lip Blushing we can achieve beautifully delicate and natural results.

NEUTRALIZATION
For those who have melanin rich lips, presenting brown or purple tones, and want to add pink, red or coral tones, they must go through a process called "lip neutralisation". This technique simply prepares the lips by making them even in tone and “neutral” in terms of the colour wheel.
Neutralisation takes 2 or more sessions depending on original lip colour and desired end result.

AREOLA RECONSTRUCTION
SKINS became interested in reconstructing areolas as soon as they embarked on their pigmentation career however quickly became very busy with brows and lips making it impossible to dedicate to due to time constraints.
SKINS does however work on scars around the areola, the periareolar, improving their aspect and appearance. Often after aesthetic plastic surgery areola scars can be unmatched in tone compared to the natural skin colour. With gentle and subtle pigment use we can help harmonise these scars making them less visible.

![This year wasn’t amazing for me for the obvious reasons illustrated in these photos. Although, OBVIOUSLY, it was amazing for those reasons too.
I got my first house! At the grand young age of 39 years old and was fully supported by my beautiful family, namely my grandpa who helped me get on the ladder. Honestly, this house doesn’t represent possession and ownership; it represents coming together, family, sharing, love.
But there was another massive reason that this year was so important for me. I did it. Even though I was supported by my family, and that is paramount to anything being possible for me at this time in my life, I did it.
I made it happen. With grit and passion. With determination and drive. And it’s this that I realise that I have, and it’s this that has made me see my power.
When we think about power we think of despotism, wealth, hierarchy, but this is not the type of power I refer to.
I refer to inner courage, good sense, kindness, warmth, generosity, selfishness, selflessness. The power to get your brood through the day, the power to show up for yourself, pat yourself on the back, and make steps to manoeuvre new methods even still. Power to thank god enough for guiding you through the days when you forget that you even had it [power] in the first place.
This year was HUGE for me and my kids. And next year will be too. HUGE im different ways. New ways, new distractions, new guises, new missions and new ideas. But not to mean that we’ll forget the older ones. Oh, no. They will be built upon, nurtured and tendered, because it’s those old ones that got you to where you are now. And that is also part of your power. Your journey, however hard, is your creator.
