  • How long does the treatment last?
The treatment lasts 1-2 years. This depends on skin type, organism and lifestyle. Remember, this is deliberately a semi-permanent procedure. Over time we want the pigment to be removed by the body as this is how we maintain the integrity of your skin and your treatment. Pigment that is implanted too deeply, therefore becoming permanent in the skin, looks awful over time. Natural appearing and permanent do not marry well!
  • Will the colour change after a while?
No! You come back when you want to, when you feel that the pigment has faded sufficiently. What we advise is that you do not do them too regularly to avoid implanting and layering too much pigment into the skin. This can make them blocky over time. At SKINS we have an excellent understanding of how to maintain your brows looking beautiful for years to come, not just the first day you do them.
  • Do I need to do yearly top ups?
  • Does it hurt?
No! It causes a little discomfort, mostly likened to plucking which is very manageable. Due to the superficial nature of the treatment, numbing cream is just not necessary.
  • Do I need a patch test?
A patch test is not necessary however if you are worried about having an allergic reaction to the pigment or any of the products used during the procedure then please get in touch so we can discuss the possibility of a patch test.
  • Do I need to book a consultation?
A consultation is not essential to doing NanoBlading, however, if you have an old procedure and pigment still remaining on your brows then please send SKINS a picture via whatsapp so we can assess the possibility of you doing the treatment.
  • Can I do Botox and NanoBlading?
With any injectable, you must leave a couple of weeks in between treatments. If you are thinking of doing Botox, SKINS recommends that you do your NanoBlading first. The reason for this is that your Nanoblading, although semi permanent, is more permanent than Botox, so we want your brows to be perfectly set before you adjust them with Botox. We want to improve your brows as much as possible in their natural state and if you still feel like you need Botox to make some muscle adjustments then you can do that afterwards.
  • Can I do Lip Fillers and Lip Blushing?
If you are thinking of doing them both, we ask that you do your Lip Fillers FIRST, differently to that of Botox. The reason for that is when you fill your lips the skin is essentially stretched. If you do your lip blushing first then you will lose some of the effect of the pigment as the skin will literally be stretched out. If we may, however, SKINS appeals that you don’t do fillers at all and go down the blushing route. It's amazing what we can achieve! But please, if you have any further questions about this do not hesitate to get in touch with SKINS.
  • What are the post care guidelines?
You should avoid the sun, pool, beach and profuse sweating in the days after your treatment. SKINS will send you all the instructions after your treatment.
  • Do I need to do anything before my treatment?
SKINS ask that you do not remove any hair whatsoever from your brows at least 2 weeks before your treatment. If your hair grows more slowly, don´t worry, 2 weeks is still enough. Also, please suspend the use of any acids on or around your brows (retinol, tretinoin etc) 2 weeks before your appointment.
